Branding Portraits
Branding Photographer in Raleigh, NC
Professional photos for business owners, realtors, coaches, and entrepreneurs who want to look like themselves, not a stock photo.

Your photos are doing work right now. The question is what kind of work.
Every time someone lands on your LinkedIn profile, visits your website, or gets a referral to you, the first thing they see is a photo. That photo is making an argument about who you are and whether you belong in the room.
A blurry phone selfie, a cropped group shot from a conference, or a gray-backdrop headshot that looks like every other realtor in the MLS, those photos are making an argument too. Just not the one you want.
I work with small business owners, entrepreneurs, realtors, coaches, and consultants across the Raleigh-Durham Triangle who need images that actually represent how they work and who they work with.
Headshots vs. Branding Photos
What's the difference?
A headshot
A clean, professional portrait. Face-forward, good light, appropriate background. Used for LinkedIn, your Google Business Profile, email signatures, and speaking bios.
One to two looks · 30–45 minutes
A branding session
A fuller story. Headshots plus environmental portraits, you at your desk, in your element, working with your tools, in spaces that represent your brand.
Multiple locations · Multiple outfit changes · 2–3 hours
Who I Work With
Realtors and mortgage professionals
Consistent, credible image across the MLS, Zillow, your brokerage bio, and social. One session, multiple uses.
Coaches and consultants
Your face is your brand. If people can't see you clearly, they can't trust you.
Restaurant and retail owners
Behind-the-scenes content that shows the human behind the business.
Healthcare and wellness professionals
Approachable, warm, professional. The balance matters.
Creatives and freelancers
Brand images that communicate your taste and your work, not just your face.
My approach
I don't hand you a list of poses and count to three. Before your session, we go through a short brand questionnaire, what you do, who you serve, how you want to be perceived, and three words you want someone to feel when they see your photos.
On the day, I keep things moving and conversational. Most people are stiff for the first 10 minutes. By the time we hit our stride, the camera isn't the focus anymore, the work is.
I'm a documentary photographer first. Even in a branding context, I'm looking for the moments between the posed ones. Those images almost always end up being the ones clients use everywhere.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a professional headshot actually worth the investment?
For most service-based businesses, a single new client more than covers the cost of a session. One session. Used everywhere. For 2–3 years.
Are AI-generated headshots a real alternative?
For a LinkedIn placeholder, maybe. For anything that needs to represent your brand with credibility, no. A branding session gives you 40–60 images across your entire marketing ecosystem.
What if I hate the way I look in photos?
That's the most common thing I hear before a session. It almost never applies to the results. Most people who say this have been photographed badly. That's not how I work.
Can we shoot at my office?
Yes. I shoot on-location throughout Raleigh, Durham, and the Triangle. If your office has natural light and reflects your brand, it's often the best backdrop we could choose.
How long will my photos be usable?
Headshots typically need refreshing every 2–3 years. Branding images age faster. Most active business owners I work with come back annually or bi-annually.
