Small weddings deserve full attention.

A wedding with 15 people isn't a lesser version of a wedding with 150. It's a different kind of day, quieter, more intentional, built around the people you actually want in the room.

Most wedding photography is designed for big productions: multiple shooters, 10-hour timelines, shot lists that run three pages. None of that fits a micro wedding.

I specialize in intimate weddings throughout the Raleigh-Durham Triangle, in backyards, restaurants, state parks, historic venues, and chapels. If you have 50 people or fewer, I built my approach around you.

What a Session Looks Like

I don't run your wedding day. I follow it.

Before your ceremony, we'll build a simple, realistic timeline together. On the day itself, I stay close, stay quiet, and make photographs out of what's already happening.

The images that matter most at intimate weddings aren't the posed ones. They're the moment you see each other before the ceremony. The way your person looks when they're not performing for the camera. That's what I'm after.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I really need a photographer for a wedding with only 10 or 15 people?

Yes, and arguably more than a big wedding. Intimate weddings have fewer guests, which means fewer people with phones capturing moments. The images from your day will be almost entirely mine. That's more responsibility, not less.

What's the difference between an intimate wedding package and a regular wedding package?

Most wedding photographers sell packages built for 6–10 hour days with 100+ guests. I build packages around the actual scope of your event. If your ceremony is 90 minutes and dinner is two hours, you shouldn't be paying for 8 hours of coverage you won't use.

We're not photogenic, will our photos look awkward?

No. Camera discomfort is a direction problem, not a subject problem. I don't pose people into manufactured positions. I follow what's already happening and find the images in it.

How far in advance should we book?

Spring (March–May) and fall (September–November) book fastest, typically 3–6 months out. If you have a date, reach out now.

Do you travel outside the Triangle?

Yes. I'm based in Raleigh but travel throughout North Carolina for intimate weddings. Out-of-state travel is available for the right project.

Can we see a full gallery before booking?

Yes, always. I'll share complete galleries from past intimate weddings so you can see the full range of images, not just the highlight shots.

Ready to book your intimate wedding?

Spring and fall dates fill quickly. If you have a date in mind, this is the right time to reach out.
