The typical event photographer shows up, fires off flash-lit group shots from across the room, and delivers a folder of identical wide angles. The photos look like the event happened. They don't feel like it happened.
I approach events the same way I approach everything else, as a documentary photographer. I'm watching for the handshake that closes the deal, the laugh between sessions, the speaker warming up before they go on stage, the detail shots that tell you what the night actually felt like.
Whether it's a corporate retreat in Durham, a nonprofit gala in downtown Raleigh, a brand activation at a Triangle venue, or a private celebration in your backyard, the goal is images that make someone who wasn't there understand what it was like to be in the room.

My approach
Before your event, we get on a call to map the timeline, what matters most, who needs to be captured, what the key moments are, and where the brand or organizational priorities live. I show up with a plan, not just a camera.
During the event, I work unobtrusively. No stopping the program for posed group shots every five minutes. I move through the room, catch the energy as it builds, and pull people aside for quick portraits when the moment is right, not when it interrupts the flow.
Afterward, you get a full edited gallery plus a curated highlights set ready for social. Everything is organized, captioned, and delivered through an online gallery your team can share and download from.

What kinds of events do you photograph?
A mix of everything, corporate conferences and retreats, private parties and milestone celebrations, nonprofit galas and fundraisers, and brand sponsorships or activations. If people are gathering for a purpose, I can document it.
How quickly will I get my photos?
Standard delivery is within 2 weeks. If you need a same-day or next-day turnaround for social media or press, I offer a rush delivery add-on, just mention it when you reach out.
Can you provide a highlights gallery for social media?
Yes. With Full Event Coverage and above, I include a curated highlights set of 15–20 images sized and ready for Instagram, LinkedIn, or whatever platform you're posting to.
Do you travel outside the Triangle?
Absolutely. I regularly travel for events across North Carolina and beyond. Travel within the Raleigh-Durham area is included; outside the Triangle, we'll add travel costs to the quote.
Can we set up a branded photo area at the event?
Yes. I can coordinate a step-and-repeat or portrait station as part of the coverage. It's a great way to give attendees a take-away and generate branded content at the same time.
